On Monday, February 22nd, twenty-seven students and two teacher mentors from the Doyon Early Act Team volunteered at the Ipswich Dinnerbell. As you may know, our Early Act Team is a group of 4th and 5th graders who, in partnership with the Ipswich Rotary Club, work on community service projects. Each year the Early Act Team members choose local, national and global community service projects. This year they wanted to volunteer at the Dinnerbell! The Ipswich Dinnerbell is a wonderful organization of Ipswich churches and other community groups that provides community meals to the greater Ipswich area. Our students were very efficient as they set up the tables in the Masonic Hall to get ready for diners. They took initiative and were enthusiastic as they swarmed over the hall and finished in record time! Once diners started to arrive, the students greeted them, served them, and enjoyed conversations with them about school and the Early Act Team. ...
